FARMER'S KITCHEN METAL BUILDING FOUNDATION

Seth Structural completed the structural design and construction drawings for the concrete foundation to support an 11,500 square foot prefabricated metal building.  Metal building foundations are especially challenging due to the large uplift and horizontal reactions at the base from wind loading.  The reactions require detailed anchorage and concrete reinforcement.  Many times, the anchors require additional steel tension reinforcement to adequately transfer the uplift loads into the foundation.  spanning to existing perpendicular concrete stiffener walls.  The wall was designed to span horizontally since new footings designed as a traditional retaining
